The Program in a Nutshell
This program is designed with intention.
We have built it with the intention that you leave with a strong foundation in formal assessment, grounded in core concepts, ethics, and cultural humility — along with the confidence to adapt what you learn in ways that feel authentic to your professional identity and clinical approach.
You will gain access to hands on training for a large battery of assessment tools and have the support needed to feel competent in your consultations, assessments and report writing.
Join us for a 12 month program, with monthly topics and supervision calls to ensure continuous support and learning. The program is front loaded with important skills and topics to ensure that you can start administering assessments as early as possible. All mandatory intensives will be hosted in Calgary, Alberta at the Riverwest Therapy Collective.

Jump start your learning with intensives early on. This will allow you to take on assessment clients after the first month and put to practice what you are learning.
Intensives are located in Calgary, Alberta at Riverwest Therapy Collective and run daily from 10am-4pm.

This program will provide you with:
over 55 hours of direct training
over 27 supervision hours (including supervision calls, chats and report review)
ability to supervise provisional psychologists and registered psychologists in formal assessment
ability to support graduate interns in formal assessment training as per CAP standards in effect 2030
ability to scale and diversify your income
ability to select your battery and administer comprehensive and clinically sound assessments

The program cost for the 12-month period is $1250/month.
Your first month is due upon acceptance to the program and is due by August 8 to secure your spot. Acceptances will be sent by August 1.
Key Details
12 Month Commitment
Learning formal assessments is a commitment that takes focus, dedication and consistent learning. As per CAP standards, you must achieve at least 400 hours to declare competency, with 100 of those hours indirect and additionally 27 supervision hours. This program will provide you with the indirect and supervision hours needed.
Mandatory Intensives
In order for us to sign off on your competency, intensives are mandatory in attendance. As such, we understand it is important to plan ahead and therefore are providing the dates in advance:
Intensive 1: October 2-4, 2026
Intensive 2: November 14 & 15, 2026
Intensive 3: January 30 & 31, 2027
Insurance & Practice Permit
You are responsible for maintaining your own liability insurance and practice permit required to practice as a Provisional Psychologist or Registered Psychologist in Alberta for the entirety of this program.
No Guarantees
You will be provided with the supervision hours required for the 400 hours of competency, however we make no guarantee of client referrals or direct assessment hours. You will be responsible for gaining your own clients during this program, and will be supported with the report review, in class training, workshops, and supervision along the way.
